General Information about applying for service
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IN FULL

Please note that your request for services to us MUST be in application form (either through this online form, or in paper), turned in with at least 2 weeks in advance of the date. Turning in your application DOES NOT guarantee your event will be done by BULLDOG RADIO. If your application is accepted by the group, an executive officer will contact you notifying you of acceptance, and the terms of the application. Late applications will incur a $5 per hour fee. Please do note that services may not be able to be guaranteed to you until two weeks before your event as we work to find students to work.

Registered Student Organizations on campus receive discounted rates for services. Depending on the event, you may be eligible for a free event for Community Service. BULLDOG RADIO will determine the amount to charge for the event after acceptance of your application has occurred, and you will be notified of the total charges as well. The amount in full is due at the time the event occurs.

BULLDOG RADIO reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. We are an academic organization that is completely run by students. If no students are available to complete an event, your application will not be accepted.

Application Terms

The Student Activity Fund of Student Government purchased new equipment for the Ferris State University Student Radio Station. The equipment makes live performances and DJ services possible at ON and OFF campus events.  In light of the fact that the equipment to be requested was purchased with student money, the following procedures and guidelines have been established by the Finance Division and BULLDOG RADIO to ensure that all RSOs benefit from this purchase.

Please read the following procedures:

·   A BULLDOG RADIO DJ must be with equipment at all times.

·   Use of the equipment is free for RSOs but a $15 per hour service charge will be charged for the BULLDOG RADIO DJ. If you not an RSO, your service charge will vary and will be assessed by the Mobile DJ Services Manager.  We also ask that you please provide us with a thank-you note for our services.

·   Completed applications MUST be submitted a minimum of 12 business days before the event (1 month recommended). Late submissions are subject to an additional $5 per hour fee.

·   Completed applications may be turned into the BULLDOG RADIO mail file at the Rankin Center, or may be submitted online (preferred).

·   When planning an event near the beginning of a semester, RSOs should submit application the semester prior to event.

·   BULLDOG RADIO equipment will NOT be available during the summer semester unless special arrangements are made.

·   BULLDOG RADIO will do its best to please the RSO/crowd but cannot guarantee playing all music requested.

·   BULLDOG RADIO reserves the right to accept or decline service on an individual basis. COMPLETION OF THIS FORM DOES NOT GUARANTEE RENTAL.

·   If an event is cancelled, BULLDOG RADIO must be notified no later than 7 days prior to the event date. Deposit is nonrefundable.

·   BULLDOG RADIO services shall be open to RSO/people without regard to color, creed, religion, handicap, national origin, race, sex, or sexual orientation.

qBULLDOG RADIO makes an effort to provide transportation to all events.  However, certain circumstances may not allow for this to occur, and please be aware that the requesting RSO may have to provide transportation for the equipment and the BULLDOG RADIO DJ.  We will contact the requesting RSO if this occurs.

q BULLDOG RADIO DJ fee is $15 per hour with a minimum charge of $40.  The first 3 hours of any event cost a total of $40, each additional  hour after that costs $15 per hour.   Please add one hour before and after for setup and teardown (but not when giving us the times of your event). EXAMPLE: RSO wants a DJ from 6PM to 9PM; they are charged from 5PM to 10PM, or $40 (1st 3 hours)+$15+$15=$70.

q PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME OF EVENT. If no payment is received, the event will not take place. Please make special arrangements with the Mobile DJ Services Manager if there are issues with this policy.

q BULLDOG RADIO DJ must be with equipment at all times.

q If requesting RSO has specific music to be played at the event, it should be submitted for review BEFORE the start date of the event. Music or equipment that the RSO asks to have played or connected to BULLDOG RADIO's equipment during the event will be denied.

q Requesting RSO must provide 2 people for 1 hour before and after event for setup and teardown.

q A minimum 10-foot square area along with a 6 to 8 foot table must be available at venue for equipment and BULLDOG RADIO DJ. Persons other than the setup and teardown crew as well as the client and DJs are not allowed within the area of the equipment.

q Power (110 volt plug) must be within 20 feet of equipment.

q All food and beverages must be kept OUTSIDE the ten-foot square area.

q If any equipment is damaged due to the carelessness of any of the requesting RSO members or guests, the RSO is responsible for paying the replacement cost of those items as determined by BULLDOG RADIO.
