The Ferris State Bulldogs (1-3) were defeated by the visiting Northern Michigan Wildcats (3-1)  in the second game of the weekend series 1-0. FSU Goaltender Justin Kapelmaster played an amazing game stopping 25 of the 26 shots he faced.

A scoreless game through almost three full periods until the last second when Wildcat Darien Craighead buried his shot with five-tenths of a second left on the clock. It could have been a much different game had Ferris converted on their six power-play opportunities a night after going two for four on power plays. The Bulldogs also out shot the NMU Wildcats 35-25 on the night.

Observations

- The Ferris State Bulldogs looked impressive in a 1-0 loss with many chances, a few breakaways, and odd number rushes.

- Justin Kapelmaster was the star of the game. He was calmed and composed throughout the game while playing the puck exceptionally well off the boards.

Ferris State (1-3) will be on the road next weekend, October 20-21, at Mercyhurst University (0-0-2) with puck drops at 7:05 PM and 2:35 PM.
